Kenneth R. Besser combines decades of in-depth education, training, and, most importantly, experience to satisfy most people's personal, business, and legal counseling needs.
After graduating high school in two and a half years in 1976, Kenneth had his disabilities of minority removed by a court in Hinds County, Mississippi, and chartered his first company, a steel cable/wire rope distributorship serving seven southeastern states. He sold that enterprise and used the residuals from it to pay for his college education. In addition to these businesses, along his path in life, Kenneth has either worked in, owned, or operated several small businesses including AM radio (announcer/producer), restauranteur (chef), steel warehousing and distribution (sales and management), Apple Macintosh publishing (owner), debt collection (management), healthcare (practice administrator), medical practice consulting (owner), author, motivational speaker, and corporate trainer. Among all this, Kenneth R. Besser has maintained a strong relationship with his wife and all his children.
He received a Bachelors of Science degree in chemistry from Millsaps College in 1981 and then attended two years of medical school at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi before deciding he would rather stay married to his wife the doctor than become one himself. After a few years owning and operating a custom homebuilding company, Signature Homes, in Nashville, Tennessee, Kenneth moved to Memphis, Tennessee to attend law school. He graduated from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1990 with honors after having served as both the Administrative Editor and Research Editor of its Law Review.
Besser's diverse legal experience began at the top-five Memphis full-service lawfirm of Burch, Porter & Johnson, where he worked until starting his own small firm in 1993. He has focused on the big picture of serving his clients' entire scope of needs using specialists as required. The matters on which he has worked include environmental issues, lender liability claims, the entire scope of corporate and business needs, healthcare, family law and divorce, estate planning, personal injury, and much more.
He has been married to Susan L. Besser, M.D. since 1979 and a father of six practically perfect children beginning in 1984.
